Janet Pause

Janet is a Principal at Granite International responsible for client development, search management and execution. Janet began her career at Procter & Gamble and it was here where she first got exposure to the strategic importance of hiring the best and brightest people. She moved into the healthcare industry, holding human resources roles in labour relations, policy writing and administration before returning to the consumer packaged goods industry in a sales operations management role.

Janet found her calling in executive search in the mid 1990's when she joined one of North America's premier executive search firms. While she recruited executives and senior management in several industry sectors across the full spectrum of roles, she developed an expertise in recruiting general management, finance, human resources, and information technology executives. Janet was known for being able to develop a strong trust base with both clients and candidates and she was gratified to have established long-standing client relationships that resulted in placing over 50 executives and senior managers across Canada for one client organization in particular.

After establishing her own retained search firm, Janet continued to work with a variety of clients over the next several years in manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, food service, retail and professional services.

Prior to joining Granite International, Janet was with a boutique executive search firm where she gained valuable experience in the financial services sector while placing individuals in Information Technology, Human Resources and Financial positions.

Outside of work, Janet balances her interest in health and fitness with a passion for good food and wine, and can often be found dining at her family's restaurant, JAMcafe. (www.jamcafe.net)
