GAVIN NAIMER

Gavin Naimer is the Founder and Managing Partner of Granite International Executive Search.  Recognizing that many organizations were being underserved, Gavin established a boutique executive search firm to provide first-class service and strategic advice to a wide range of clients.

Gavin specializes in recruiting senior executives from across the broad spectrum of financial services organizations.  He conducts global searches for client organizations based in Canada, the United States and Bermuda.  In many cases, his placed candidates have progressed into significantly broader and more senior roles.  Gavin prides himself on taking the time to understand his clients' diverse needs and to recruit the right candidates who will be successful over the long-term. 

Gavin began his career as a search consultant at a global executive search firm where he gained experience building the senior management teams for Fortune 500 clients in a number of industry sectors.  In particular, Gavin recruited the leadership team that led the initial capital raising and subsequent public offering for a Bermuda-based reinsurer.  Gavin also led the build-out of divisions of large public companies and has hired senior team members in the United States, Bermuda and Europe.

Gavin subsequently joined a boutique executive search firm as a Partner and was responsible for developing and managing a number of client relationships within the financial services sector including insurance, reinsurance and banking.

Prior to executive search, Gavin worked as a lawyer specializing in insurance litigation at a prominent Toronto law firm.  As counsel, Gavin represented a number of Canadian and American insurance companies at the trial and appeals level.

Gavin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Great Distinction in Political Science from McGill University and graduated from its law school with degrees in both Civil and Common Law.  Gavin is a member of The Law Society of Upper Canada.
